Its official I am switching over from shoes to boots.

I know I have posted a question about boots before. But I want to know THEEEE very best boots to get, that will stay on galloping on the road or somewhere. I am tired of paying 120 to get them shod and I think not putting on shoes is much healthier. I am not against shoes, I have been putting them on for 2 and a half years. I just need to save money and my horses will benefit from this. I barrel race, the boots will only be used for trail riding as where I live the roads are hard. I plan on getting some hoof supplements to transition them over to boots to help them. Any advice? And please do tell me the best brand of boots lol.

Galloping on roads is a beautiful way to completely ruin your horse legs

Yeah, my first thought was "don't gallop on the roads."

Is there a field around your place that you can gallop them on? Booting them up won't help reduce the shock in their legs. If anything it's more dangerous as they can slip off regardless of how well they fit. It's the same reason I don't like watching people jump in them.
