Joing Reins together?

Is there something to join reins together?
Hi, I am new here and just started riding again after about 20 years. I am leasing a horse. The reins I have for him are super long. I would love to be able to rest them on him. Is there something to clip them together?

I just tight them into the knot. :)

I don't like split reins myself. If you want to join them together permenently I have used a leather punch and waxed thread to join them. I just punch 2 holes and sort of sew them together. If you still want to keep them seperate, just tie them together as kitten suggested. Most leather supply places sell the punches and waxed thread.
