kieffer vs Bates

I was in at the local saddlery today, not looking for a saddle as im saving for an overseas trip, however ended up being convinced to have a sit in two of the new saddles that have just come in. I've only ever ridden in a Kieffer once, on a old horse i'd never ridden before, in a really old kieffer, and I didnt like it much at all. So anyway, the lady was telling me how different the two saddles were, and that bates were her favourite for years, as a top show saddle, and now after using a Kieffer she wouldnt go back.
Im pretty sure the Kieffer was a Lech Profi and the bates in not sure exactly, one of the dressage saddles.
The difference was amazing! The Kieffer sat you tall, straight and correct as soon as you sat in it, and the bates allowed you to sort of slump..I can't really describe it well. Sure bates are good saddles, and of course you can sit in them properly, but this Kieffer just made it so easy! When I eventually get a new saddle (which wont be for a while due to this trip ) Im getting a Kieffer.

Does anyone on the forum own/ride in one? What are the other models like?

I own a Bates Innova and a Bates Caprilli Close Contact....I like them both. Can't comment on the Kieffer as I've never ridden in one.
