The old version of Wintec Wide starts at Wide (red) and can use XW (white) and the 3 purple ones and the New version starts at a pink colour which is actually the same width as the XW (white) old version.

I had the old and New version of the Wintec Wides. The New one is far better and fits my haflingers brilliants (wide, low withered and barrel shaped). I use the extra wide (white) on my Mare and the 2xw on the filly.

Not a great photo, but here's my New version on the filly

I am considering a Thorowgood Cob saddle again, because it seems that the widest gullets should fit after all. Will probably order one (and hope it comes in whole ), but at first I'll just browse around, maybe I can get a good second hand saddle.

I have a Thorowgood cob dressage saddle and I like it (great fit for the haffies), but it does have a wider twist and two of my friends struggle with it's width.

Thanks for the tip. :) It's so frustrating I can't try them, though!! Maybe I should just take up driving.

Action Rider Tack sells Tekna saddles. They might have a demo one available. I bought my dressage saddle from them that way.

Thanks, DA, but the thing is - I'm from Eastern Europe and we have only one decent tack shop in my country, which doesn't stock Tekna, Thorowgood, Wintec and many, many other brands - mostly only high-end German brands for narrow horses, and a couple of synthetic cheapies. I have an option to try on an Eric Thomas jump saddle, but it looks too plastic for my taste.

Does Equestrian clearance ship to Europe? FAQs | Equestrian Clearance

Free Global shipping at the moment!

They stock Teckna http://www.equestrianclearance.com/c/Horse/Tack/Saddles

(although, I'm not keen on them)

Equestrian clearance does ship to Europe and I've used their services before, but I'm not so sure I should be ordering a Tekna anymore, as somebody pointed out that their panels are a bit too curvy for truly flat-backed horses. I've got my mind set on Thorowgood Cob models now, and will probably order one from Robinsons Equestrian or from Old Mills Saddlery (they ship to Europe as well), if I find nothing well fitting locally. I'm totally not in a hurry, though, and my gelding doesn't complain for not being ridden as much.
