Question Looking for input on Robart pinchless bits and transitioning into it from Tom Thumb

I am seriously considering transitioning my 5 yr old gelding from a Tom Thumb w/ copper roller into a Robart pinchless flat cheek wide port w/ stainless steel roller. My goal is to get him into a softer bit and fine tune his neck reining. He responds to leg cues, but prefers to ignore neck reining. Has anyone had experience with the Robart bits? Any input on bit transitioning?
