Looking For Saddle Recommendations

I'm looking into getting an English saddle for my English riding friends to use when we ride together. Of course, I'm not looking for something fancy or expensive. I would like an all purpose, but something comfortable, for horse and rider, and affordable. I was hoping to get some saddle recommendations, because to be honest, it's been a LONG time since my butt's been in an English saddle

Look into Wintec or Thorowgood. Both are on cheaper side and easy to take care of. Of course if either fits your horse. :)

Thanks Kitten_Val! I like the looks of the Thorowgoods. Have you ever used one?

I don't remember riding in one, but I sat in TG in Dover, and it felt good (although wide). Thorowgood seems to be a good fit for wide horses. I believe Golden Horse got one last year, so you may ask her.

As for Wintecs there are SO many used ones that you can find a really good deal. :) I tried one too and it was not bad, just not a good fit for my mares.

Good luck in your search! Finding English saddle that fits is a real pain at times.
