Question Low Port Hinged Futurity Bit Opinions

What do you think of this bit? I would like to use it on my green mare. She is a little bit hard mouthed and needs a little bite but for the most part I want a mild bit. She has neck reining training as well but I figure with this bit you can direct rein as well. Opinions please!

I own that bit with different shanks, same length though. It's a nice balanced bit. It's meant for neck reining, but in a serious pinch, you could direct rein with it because it's loose-jawed. It seems like it would be a good choice for a green horse.
Have you considered keeping your green horse in a snaffle until you're confident that you won't have to direct rein?
