Lunge cavesons: metal nosepiece or not?

What are your opinions/preferences on having a metal noseband on a lunge caveson? In looking around at them, I've noticed many with no rigidity at all in the noseband (essentially a snug halter), some with jointed metal nosebands (3-5 joints usually, though I saw someone using one a while back that said it was padded bicycle chain IIRC), and some with solid metal nosebands.

It seems like the solid metal noseband would both give a little more "bite" and also keep it from twisting as much. I'm guessing the jointed ones would be somewhere between the non-metal and solid metal in both respects.

If you have recommendations on specific lunge cavesons that are available in the US I'm interested in that too
