Smile Making your own bling tack!

I was wondering of anyone has made their own tack, I wanna buy a plain set and punch some holes in, put some conchos on, and some swarovski crystals. Has anyone done this too? I am shooting for mine to look like Luan's Leathers!

Okay, I was wondering where I could buy a nice blank set of tack so i could bling it out. Or how I could put cowhide on it, or ostrich skin?

I've made my own. Check out the link in my signature.

Adding leather overlays is tough and requires professional equipment. Conchos and crystals aren't a big deal, so long as you have a hole punch and/or are able to rivet.

Blank tack can be purchased just about anywhere if you aren't buying in bulk. I like the quality and affordability of Weaver stuff.

That stuff is really neat. Is it hard to thread the beads like that threw the leather?

Not too bad if you get good equipment. Just need a thin, sharp awl and crimping beads to finish the ends.
