I would get a solid black pad.. Zebra pads just seem tacky to me and the solid black will tone the rest of the zebra and pink down.. Even if you choose to bring the pink into play somewhere else so your saddle matches.. You can use pink support boots, pink reins.. Just those simple little things that tie in together.

How well does the felt hold up? Is it as good as the wool?

Im not a western rider but I have used a felt pad here at college as its western/country riding. I found that the felt sometimes got as stiff as a board whereas the wool stayed soft and floppy. Im not sure if there is a certain way to care for a felt pad or not...

I like that pad too. It's not too over the top :)

And as for riding in "cowboy territory" I know what you mean. I ride Dressage in cowboy territory, how out of place is that. I go on group trail rides and everybody gives me weird looks even if I wear jeans... someone even called me "miss hoity toity" LOL.

Lol cinny thanks! Im thinkin about gettin something like that because its super cute! And ya like my cousin owns a ranch and he saw me out ridin and just looked at me funny because they have just plain tack. But im a barrel racer soo what do you expect :)
