Matching western pad and chaps?

I ride and show a grey arabian (profile picture) and I have dark hunter green chaps, black slinky, hunter green vest, and black hat. I usually ride with a black western pad but it has a strip of leather and conchos which I find rather tacky-looking. I want to buy my own pad of all one color. What would look best? Buying an all black pad or spending a ton of time finding a pad that will be the same color as my chaps?
