Talking May have found my saddle!!!

For those of you not familiar with my saga, please see this thread first...No saddle fits me!!! :-(

For those who've been following it, I think I may have finally found a saddle that fits me!! It's a Collegiate Convertable Senior Event saddle, and I am in LOVE with it! Here are pics of me riding in it for the first time tonight...I think I may need a smaller seat, 16.5" is typically my size and the only one they had I could take home and try was a 17", but other than that, this saddle may be the one...after a long LONG LONG list of saddles I couldn't fit into!

Pics (please ignore the fact that I don't have my helmet on and I'm wearing flip flops LOL oh yeah and my horse doesn't have her bridle on!) I don't normally do that, but we were in the round pen and just walking and a tiny bit of trotting.

Dumb question. What's convertable about it? Changeable gullets? Love the flip flops! Glad you finally found one you like.

haha oh yes the flip flops were a nice touch weren't they?!

you are correct, it has the Easy Change Gullet system (like Wintecs have) so it can fit any horse!

What do you think about the seat size? My old saddle that I fit into very well was a 16.5" but this tack shop only had a 17" for me to take home and try...do you think the 17" looks good or a little big? I'm kinda on the fence with this saddle! Normally 17" is too big for me...

Here's a video I finally got uploaded of me trotting in the new saddle (again, ignore the fact that I have no helmet on and am wearing flip flops LOL)...and the super fast trot that we had in the round pen! Sandie's a bit hyper from being in her stall resting up from an injury for a few days! We just trotted what you're seeing in the video and that's all so I couldn't try it out too much, but I didn't want to push her with her leg wound (although she doesn't seem to be phased by it at all, I'm just paranoid!)

I think it might be a smidge too big but not noticeably. Are you and your girl comfortable in it? If so, then that's your saddle!

I agree! There's another tack shop who's giving it to me for less, and they're ordering both sizes in so I can try them both! So I'm returning this one, which I had on 10-day trial from another tack shop who wouldn't do anything with their price!

And the new place that's ordering it for me is also going to discount the gullet I need and replace it free of charge for me as well!

I love my Collegiate Sr Event :) it's an older model though.

And it might be broke, which means saddle shopping again *cries*

I think it looks good! Might be a TAD too big. But if your comfy in it, who cares? I would try the other size just to be sure though.

Oh, I just wanted to add... your lower leg looks a little unsteady... is this a consistent problem over a large variety of saddles, or is this specific saddle causing this?
