Mexican Made Saddle! Should I buy it?

I have been saddle hunting for quite some time now and came across this one:

14.5
Western
No Brand
They are Asking $150
Says "Made in Mexico" on the back behind the seat. (Not "Hecho en Mexico" which it would say if that was the desired audience.)

Tooling is beautiful and saddle is at least 20 years old because that is how many years ago the owner purchased it.
Leather could use some tlc...

I'm going to go see it tomorrow and was hoping I could get some advice before then!

Thanks all!

Do you know how to tell what kind of tree it has? What it's made of?

Do you know how to tell if the tree and the rest is in good repair?

if you do, then have a look. Some saddles from Mexico are very nice. If you don't, is there someone who can go with you that does know gear?

Personally, I don't like saddles rigged the way that one is (full) and my hip pockets wouldn't be comfortable in that seat. Saddles are so unique to each rider.

Whatever you do, have fun saddle shopping.
