Mikmar double ring snaffle bit

I have never seen a bit like this before. Has anyone ever used this?

I use this bit by Mikmar Mikmar Bit Company and both horses like it a lot. However I'm unsure about other (rather strange) bits by them. I know some people who loved them, and those who hated them. Personally I prefer to stick to the simple snaffle...

Wow thats interesting....I have not seen one like that in use before, I understand the concept but it just seems like a lot of metal to be on their face...could be interesting to try, but I think I'll stick with my loose ring KK!

P.S. I would sincerely doubt they are legal in most recognized shows, but I would be curious to see if that was the case!
