Tomorrow im going to put my saddle on her and measure from the left rigging to the right rigging then susbtract by 16 and it should give me about the length of cinch I need for her. I did the other trick to see what size you need by measuring her heart girth all around I got 73 then divided by 2 and substract by 3 and it gave me 33.5. It doesn't make sense that this mare needs more than 32'' so I don't think this way is very accurate.

It's fine. There is a vein that runs along their side. You want the cinch ring higher than it. In my opinion, a little longer cinch displaces more pressure.

K so I measure from left saddle rigging to the right saddle rigging then subtracted by 16 and it told me I would need a size 36'' it doesn't make any sense!
