    My new helmet...

Looks goofy (I feel sort of like a bike racer when I put it on :P ) but it feels great. I went out to buy another Troxel, which I've always loved for comfort, but came home with this instead.

I HAVE A TIPPERARY!! It was a long long battle for looks versus comfort and comfort eventually won out. If there's a breeze, I actually feel it run through my hair. It's a crazy but amazing feeling. :) I actually dread putting my once beloved GPA on at shows. It's THAT great. Plus, there was a grand prix rider at the last show I was at that showed in a Tipperary! The kids at the barn started off calling it my "space alien helmet" (it's got a space age look to it) but one by one they've started buying them..... Congrats on your new helmet!

    Yearling
    Wow, very smart!

I bought a hat yesterday, Champion Ventair jockey skull with a plain black lycra/mesh silk, so it looks very smart. I did try the Champion Universal, which looks just like a cycling helmet, but desipte it being very light and meeting BS EN 1384 it just didn't feel as safe as a more traditional hat.

I love that they make cool-looking hats these days, rather than forcing people to wear the velvet covered ones that make you look like a nine year old girl.

Hehe, I think "space alien helmet" is a prefect description! I do love it so far; super-comfy and it feels really secure...hasn't been hot enough yet to get the breeze effect, I'm looking forward to that :P
