I can see those pics better. The knee pads should not need any repairs for a long long time. Unless they get a hole right where the rider;s leg crosses. Even then, then can be parched from underneath and would not totally need replaced.
The seat, I would still advise getting a seat cover to use on it except at shows. That will help protect those worn areas at the edges and they will be less likely to split open. A good creamy leather balm rubbed into those areas would help make them less brittle. You want a thick cream. not anything runny like Lexol.
