Question myler bit questions!!!!

Ok right now I have found that my pony likes tounge relief. So I went out and bought a myler level 3 bit... this is what it looks like...
I was wondering if I could possible use the same mouth piece and get the same respones with a d-ring with hooks??? That looks like this

Um... I don't think so. BUT I am not all the way sure.
From the way the bit looks- the mouth piece is the same but the bars/ D Rings are not. The way that the western looking one (top) is turns the bit a little different.
I know that when I used a D Ring on Khanner he wouldn't do a think- I switched over to the bared bit (same mouth piece) he did wonderfully.

SO- I think the rein pressure would be different.

You can call Myler and they will help you select the correct bit. That would be the best thing to do. Just do a google search for myler bit or toklat, and find thier home page and give a call! Good Luck. I found my horses perfect bit with them.
