Myler bits

Just got my new Myler bit for my new horse...previous owner said he was a size 5 bit so I ordered 5" Myler comfort snaffle. Put it on him yesterday and boy it looks big! I have heard that they do run large and that they are supposed to run large and/or actually curve out on either side of mouth....is this correct? Any experience with Myler bit sizing?

Thanks!!!

Yup, they do run big, with the curve and whatnot, it's supposed to :) I have heard from people that got one size down so it 'looks' right, but had problems with the bit, which is why they sold it to me. It feels wierd to have the curve in their mouth, I suppose. Don't worry, it's fine :)
