Need bit advice for green pony

Can anyone recommend a bit for a green but willing pony? She's about 13hh, was used for w/t lessons (English), but new owners want to use western tack.

Long story short....my neighbors, who are enthusiastic and willing to learn, know nothing about horses. A nearby barn sold them 3 (why???), and I need to get the pony back into consistent work. I have a rider, but no bridle and no idea what she's used to.

They have a trainer visiting once a week, but she isn't working with the pony.

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks, that was my thought too, but figured I'd ask.
