need a new saddle help

I just sold my M. Toulouse because I really didn't fit in it. I need something with a more forward flap. My budget is $1,500. Does anyone know of any good saddles that are not Indian or argentine made???

What's wrong with Argentinian made? That's where both of my saddles came from, and one is a >$2000 saddle.

I'm most likely going to the university of Findlay and on their supply list they want a saddle, but it can't be Argentinian or Indian made. It sucks because a lot of saddles I like are Argentinian made.

Good luck with that. I had a friend in the english program years ago that was unhappy and switched to the western program. Looks like they want you to purchase a French leather saddle, like Antares.

I think they should be less concerned by where a saddle is made and more concerned with the fit and if it's adjustable. A horse changes back shape rather frequently and it's important to be able to adjust your saddle, especially if your riding slot of different horses...then their back changes a lot!

Exactly!! I just going to buy something that fits my horses now, and if I do end up going there, I'll deal with the different leather issue when I cross that bridge. They should honestly be more concerned if the saddle has an adjustable tree or if the saddle has interchangeable gullets.
