need saddle advice where to buy

Hey guys i'm buying a saddle and I need one that's 18 and a half seat. Short flap with an adjustable gullet.i live in NJ and went to ricks and they said none of the brands they carry have a short flap.I'm hoping maybe one of you know a saddle brand where I can get this kind of saddle. I would like synthetic but leather is okay.i was originally going to spend 700 so I really wouldn't want to spend more than 1k.

Are you looking for new or used?

If you want used, there are plenty of on-line places to buy saddles.

    HorseClicks, Bits & Barter, Craigslist.

You need to know what type of saddle you want, not that it's just a short flap.

Are you looking for jumping, close contact, or all purpose? Even some dressage saddles have short flaps nowadays.

You have a range of brands, then. Stubben, Wintec, Pessoa, Crosby, Collegiate, etc.

Many used AP saddles are offered for sale on consignment or on-line.

There's also bcsaddlery.com and pelham-saddlery.com. Good luck and let us know if you find something!

Some saddles can be "cut down" if it is only the flap that is too long.
