    New bit for barrels?

Okay, so I'd like to start off by saying I'm just an amateur :)))

So my dream since I first saw my coach barrel race, was to barrel race too! So we've finally come far enough to try faster & use the proper bit. But lately (I honestly never knew there was a problem) she's been telling me that my horse isn't turning properly and just kind of swings his butt around the barrel.

What do you guys do to make sure your horse turns fully and doesn't swing it's butt? (I know leg pressure, but can you explain it to me better?)

I know I have a coach to tell me these things but I'd like to practice in between lessons :)

We are currently running in a snaffle (:/) so were going to be switching bits she thinks his turns might be better now :)

There are SO many things that you could be doing..We could tell you a lot more if you have a video? Sometimes it isn't just the bit, a lot of things factor into your turns and the end result you'll have...So I can't really give you any good advice because I don't know exactly what your problem is...Sorry! If you can, video your lesson tonight and post it. You should get a lot more advice that way.
