Just bought me some new (to me) tall english boots at the tack swap yesterday! I love them, but they come with one fault I didn't notice while I was testing them out...
The boots are too tall. : ( I'm only 5'0", and my feet are a tiny size five in womens, so finding boots that fit my feet, plus my fat calves, is hard. I didn't realize mine were so big until I tried on a couple pairs that I couldn't even get past halfway!
I was wondering if there was a way to take the boots to a boot repair shop of sorts and have like a half inch or so taken off? The tops are creasing due to walking, and I feel like the boot kind of pushes my feet out of the bottom which rubs my heel. They feel great riding, but walking in them is a different story. It is tolerable, but I would like to be a bit more comfortable.
