New Helmet Suggestions, Please.

I've been riding for a while now and I thinks it's time I stop borrowing my instructor's helmets. Does anyone know a reasonable priced good quality helmet that they can recommend. Or share some of the helmets you have maybe. Thank you!

I am a hopeless fan of the Tipperary Sportage. It doesn't look very good, though. I would not wear if for showing. But, then, I dont' show, really.

I'm so glad I'm almost ready to not have to worry about this whole helmet deal anymore. But for now, I love the Tipperary too. I have a black felt helmet to show in for Eq. Team (Because it requires we wear helmets in everything) but I'm not sure what brand it is and it doesn't look good on me, either....

Do helmets ever look good on anyone? I don't even know these days o.o

I got an all terrain IRH helmet and I LOVE IT. I only paid about $50 for it at statelinetack.com

Another plug for the Tipperary Sportage!

I like my Troxel (and it's pretty much the only one that fits me anyway ). They have cheaper certified ones Troxel Spirit Helmet | Dover Saddlery (I find the pattern to be really cute), I currently use Troxel Legacy Gold Duratec™ Riding Helmet | Dover Saddlery, and the cheapest Troxel Sport Riding Helmet | Dover Saddlery (I used this one on trails).

However with helmets you really want it to fit you correctly. So Troxel or Tipperary or CO or any other brand may or may not be you choice. If you have a local tack store go there and try as many helmets as you can to find the best fit, or try helmets at the barn to find out which one would be your choice.

I have a blue Aegis and use a velvet helmet cover for showing. It doesn't look that bad at all. One day I'll get a velvet helmet.

Tippery sortage 8500 all the way. Second choice would be an IRH, I found troxels to be very poor quality

Thanks everyone, I see that Tipperary Sportage would be the favorite, but I also like the look of that Dublin Silverline. Okay Ill go check those out :)
