    New saddle

Hello all! I'm looking for a close contact saddle but have become kind of overwhelmed. I'm pretty short (5'2) and need something accommodating. My budget is somewhat limited. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it!

Are you looking for an English saddle? What price range? Where are you geographically? Shipping makes a difference!

$2000? That's quite a lot. :) Or you mean $200. If it's indeed under $2K you have very wide range to look at: from mid-range new to higher-range used. If under $200, you want to look into well-used ones.

Yes, that last zero makes a big difference. Have you looked online? At a tack store?

Haha yes I do mean 2000. I'd really like under 1500 tho. I've looked online a lot. But I really need to get into a tack shop.

$1500 is not bad at all. If you horse is on a wide side (broad shoulders/back), I'd look into Thornhill, Duett (those can be under $1500 new), and even Black Country used. If more of average M Toulouse and Collegiate go under $1500 new. Also Passier, County, Crosby, Stubben - you can find something in a -great- shape for your price.

P.S. I'd highly recommend to use saddle fitter or do the tracings and talk to Trumbull Mountain store (they also have saddles in your price range there).

Have you checked Pinnacle Horsewear? They sometimes have some higher end consignments in. I picked up a reasonably priced Passier from them. Exc. Service with good email communication.
