New synthetic dressage saddle

I can't decide which one I like better! HELP! other peoples opinion on each would be great, just don't tell me to buy a nice used leather saddle.. this is what I want.
First of all, my horse is an arabianX, probably Anglo, not really sure, he has always just resembled arab with something, until the tb showed up at the barn and I kind of see that in him. Anyways his withers are pretty average, I've been using a medium gullet stubben on him and it has been fine. But, he does have higher withers that other horses, but not overly so.
So my debate is between:
Dover Saddlery | Thorowgood T4 Standard Dressage Saddle .

and
Dover Saddlery | Wintec 500 Dressage II Saddle with CAIR .

On the Thorowgood, do you think I would get the High withered?
and on the Wintec I have never seen a new one with CAIR panels, how do they work, what's so great about them?

I've never ridden in a Thorowgood, or actually seen one in person, but the reviews are great, and I've seen plenty of Wintecs, ridden in them, like them.

I like the look of the Thorowgood better, and the "suede" seat, but I am more familiar with Wintecs.

I've used all purpose saddles in both the thorowgood and wintec... I like them both. but I haven't used specifically a dressage saddle.

I guess that doesn't help you. =)

I also have a Thorowgood all purpose and I love it. It is very comfy and really helps you stick in the saddle. My daughter has ridden in it once and she says it is too squeaky ..lol. it was pretty new when I bought it and it has been ridden in for about a year or so.
If I had the chance to buy a Thorowgood dressage saddle I would basing my experience on my all purpose that is.

Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world.

I have owned both a Thorowgood A/P and a Wintec Dressage (it was the Isabell).

I would buy a Wintec over a Thorowgood if I were given the chance, however in the this case the Thorowgood is much nicer looking than the Wintec... the Wintec appears to have really short flaps?

I second the comment that Thorowgoods are really noisy, mine never shuts up lol. That would probably be very annoying in a dressage test.

Have you heard of Tekna? Google them, they're new, but I'm planning to buy one in the near future myself as they look realy nice.

I've heard the Cair panels aren't all they're cracked up to be. I do like Wintec though....but have heard good things about both brands. I'm not much help here.

A horse is the projection of peoples' views about themselves--strong, powerful, beautiful--and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existance.

That is a good point actually, if you are planning on using it more than just schooling at home or lessons. The noise doesnt really bother me when I ride in it but like I said my daughter rode in it once and she said .."I dont like it, it is too squeaky"

interesting the thorowgood sweaks.. I figure if I got the wintec, I would just get flocked panels, I don't really understand what is go great about CAIR panels, how are they used? I really like the looks of the thorowgood. Im looking for something super light, that's why I would like a synthetic.

You can send your saddle in to have the gullet custom shaped to your horse though...
Yes, it takes a little longer, but then it's almost like a semi-custom saddle.
