Nylon vs. Leather Tack

I was wondering what type of tack you like better, nylon or tack. I know nylon is a lesser quality, but was wondering if you like it, why? I personally like leather better and I on't know why. And I mean breastcollars too. So...
What tack you like better and why is all I am wondering and would like to hear about.

Thanks!

Biothane is where it's at. It is a coated nylon that looks like leather, has a slight rubbery feel. Just wipes off, lasts a long time, stronger than leather, nicer looking and more durable than nylon. Wont absorb water or sweat. Weaver has western styles in black and brown and Wintec has english styles. Also lots of smaller firms mostly catering to endurance riders have it also.
Kato and BCtazzie like this.

Personally I like nylon/synthetic tack better. It's not as heavy, and I have never had a problem with it breaking, but I use it gently and for trails. I like Abetta synthetic saddles a LOT, they have a lot more feel to them and are sooo comfortable, I really don't like leather saddles a whole ton. I personally think it may be a little more comfortable for the horse than leather rubbing against them... but that's just my opinion.

Thanks! And I like the Abetta too. But I love leather saddles!

Meh, I find that to be a matter of personal opinion. I think synthetic/nylon actually looks better on some horses than leather does if you do it right.

I love my synthetic tack. I have all Wintec, and love it.

I hate cleaning tack, so unless I get to bigger competition I imagine I'll stick with my synthetic.

I have to admit I like the leather look, but synthetic that looks like leather is great too! And its western too, by the way.
