Old Saddle Marking

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I purchased an old saddle for display. It has a brass horn and saddlebags. The only marking I can see is a "Backword S and a Forward S" in the makers mark. I was told it was from the early 1900's, and may be of mexican vintage.

I would be interested if anyone can tell me any information.

Thanks,
Scarface

Welcome to the forum!

It would be really helpful to show some pictures of the saddle. Many times the design of the saddle is as important as the maker's mark.
