well I don't want to buy things off of ebay due to I've had friends get saddles with broken trees, etc and not being able to get their money back....I know the BO has a black Circle Y (same saddle but in black) and it doens't have a swayed seat, the silver is in a little better condition, but that's about it. The seat size is bigger, but I think only 1 size. I might try it on Sonny, but I perfer the dark oil one

I'm waiting back on the e-mail from the daughter to see what she says....hopefully she'll sell it to me (or at least let me use it hehe)

The last one you posted is the same saddle, only in black. If anything I would go for that one, if the BO doesn't sell you this one.

I'd just hate to see anyone throw a bunch of money away. Just remember there are options, instead of paying 1000 for one that someone doesn't really want to give away.
I don't know if she doesn't want to give it away...she really has no use for it since it doesn't fit her current horse, nor does she even ride anymore, so she really has no use for it

Sonny, I am really glad that it fit sonny! LOL that sounded wierd!lol Anyways, I would not offer anything. I would do like you said. Ask for permission to use it and then go from there. LIke you said she may just give it away. BUT... That saddle is worth $600 max. You can buy a billy cook for $1000 or less. I have seen used billy cooks on Craigslist for under 1k. I would pocket your money, save some more and just borrow that one.

Just slow down a bit I know you are uber excited to find something that fit but don't waste your hard earned money.

You can always get the model number and shop on line.

Sonny looks sharp as all get-out in that.

not saying that I would buy it for $1000, I wouldn't have enough to do so....but I'm horrible at guessing prices on anything. I did e-mail her and ask if I can use the saddle (the BO already said I could though hehe) and then I added "if you ever want to sell the saddle let me know"
I can't pay more than $700 for it...and really that is pushing it...
I'll look around for other ones
I know a local tack shop has one, but the seat size is too small for m so I can't get it...and that one is $875

NO! Is it too late? I want a better picture of sonny with it, because I think it's too small. What size is it? Also, it's a Circle Y which is a really great brand but I got a KICK_BUTT Circle Y BRAND NEW for 1250 with silver out the ying yang. AND if you are planning to show, the Appy, QH, and Paint circuits are very fad oriented and the latest craze is the lighter blonde leather. Something to consider. As far as cost go's, I'd offer around 350 - 500 for it, really closer to 350.

I want you to be careful when I say this but I look for your posts because sometimes I feel like your BO is really taking advantage of you. I try not to say anything but... this bothers me. Please take another photo for me of Sonny sideways, that one you have is looking up and makes that almost look like a large pony saddle.

That's the only other photo I have. The only dry marks were on the line down his back
My trainer looked at the sweat patterns and said it fit. Sonny responded great and didn't show any signs of pain...but then again he didn't with the Abetta and that was defiantely too small for him

And no, farmpony it isn't too late...haven't boughten anything yet hehe

I can't tell.. what is it? A 15"? 16"?

It looks like it fits well over the withers which is the important part... I still think 350-500 is a more fare price.... maybe even 550ish? It's much nicer than an abetta, that's for sure....

the seat size is 16 I believe if that's what you meant

Well I got an e-mail back from her daughter and she won't even let me ride in it
Nor will she sell it

So guess what changes everythings...but I did get a saddle on consignment to try (see other post on this section hehe)
