Which ones to get?????

Hey. So I am planning on showing in some equitation classes this year. I am going to buy a pair of open front boots and ankle boots. Which ones do you prefer? Why? As of right now, I am looking into the Equifit T boot EXP, but I was wondering if those were okay to show in(because of the color and all). HELP ME!
This is my pony. [/img]

Here is a picture of the ones I am looking at:

Make sure you can show in them before you go into the class! Nothing sucks more than preforming well, but getting disqualified because of a technicality.

I like Eskadrons or Shedrows, but that's just me.

I've never heard of the brand you were mentioning, so I can't comment on it.

Cute pony!

Eskadrons are useless in my opinion. They take all your money using their brand name because for the longest time that's all that was actually available. If you like that style, go get yourself a pair of a different brand name and save yourself some money.

In hunters any boots or bandages are prohibited. For Equitation the USEF rule book states "boots and conservative colored bandages are permitted". I'd be careful at shows though, esp if you do both. I've seen people forget to take them off for their hunter rounds and get disqualified.

As far as brands go, I think Eskadrons are great, but I'm sure there are cheaper brands out there. I would highly suggest getting Eskadrons (or similar) with the "Flexi-Soft" option. The 'regular' kind has been known to dig into their tendons and cause lameness.

If you are allowed to use boots at your shows I would recommend getting white ones so that they don't pop out to much on your ponies legs. I use eskradrons but the kind you are looking at one of my best friends just got and they stand up pretty well.

But I would definitely see if they come in white so that they don't clash agaisnt your pony as much

It is not just a horse,
It is the one thing that keeps me from being just a girl

I thought about that. I heard that white boots sometimes turn yellow though, so I wasnt sure what to do. I may end up getting leather boots instead, But the ones I was looking at absorb 90% of shock, so I am not sure. Eskadrons are much cheaper too. THANX FOR ALL THE HELP!
