Hello, this is my first time doing this so bare with me. I have plans to open my own tack shop, and just need some advice and opinions about how to go about opening one? I am from Ontario Canada, and just need some input.

I know I would like to sell all kinds of stuff. New and used tack, riding apparel, grooming supplies, feed. All that stuff.

My advice...create a website so you can reach out to people online as well. Many people shop online, myself included so having that option should increase your business. I know a lot of tack shops sell stuff on ebay too. They create a store on there, so that is an option as well.

I have a consignment tack shop in KY I used a book called How to open a Consignment shop by L.J. Stone. I found it on Amazon .com. It was a great help. I wrote a business plan and everything. Just adjust the contracts. My business is doing pretty good. Good luck.

The only thing I'm not really sure on is how I go about getting products to sell in my tack shop. I am planning on selling new and used stuff, however am not positive on how I can get stuff to sell in my shop. Hope that makes sense? Lol
