Paragon Endurance Saddles- Reveiws?

I was going to be purchasing a Derby Original Endurance saddle but backed out because I was dissapointed with alot of the reveiws and what people said about them. So...I have decided to go with a Paragon Endurance. Does anyone have any comments, good or bad about them? I am purchasing the saddle, irons, leathers, pad, and breast collar with it for $375, which includes shipping. I have pics of it, and the lady is a professional saddle fitter.

I sent her pics of my gelding from the angles she asked for and she said it should fit him 100%. She has a great website that is very informational and shows you alot about saddle fitting and what to look for. She has a money back gaurentee also.

Enough rambling on! Tell me what you think of this brand. Thanks!!

Oh wow - never heard but made me think of Paragon Arabians. Anyway - I'm not familiar with these saddles - or endurance saddles in general other than to say stay away from Derby Originals of any sort, they are cheap and fall apart easily and their saddles can wreck a horse's back. Other than that, you can try cross posting to COTH boards in the Endurance section. Good luck!

Paragons made by Collegiate are good saddles, but they've been out of production for a long time. If it's by Collegiate, it will have a brand name stamped on a metal plate by the stirrup bar.

Paragon isn't a brand, it's a type or style of saddle. What is the brand name? What country was it made in? What material(s) is/are the tree made out of? How long is the guarantee on the tree?

I would ask all of these questions before buying it. You do not want a saddle made in Asia (including India or Pakistan) or Mexico, or a tree with any fiberglass or "fiber-flex."

This lady really knows what she is doing. She has this HUGE website with all this information on different saddles and the right saddle fit. She had me send pics of my gelding to make sure the saddle would fit correctly.

I will have to ask her what brand it is...it is all leather and is an endurance saddle. It looks alot like the Derby Original but isnt at all. The leather quality looks much, much better and not like plastic.

I am really glad that I looked up more on the Derby Originals; thanks to the people's reveiws on this forum I didnt buy the saddle.

What web site is it? Is $375 the new price for the package? If so, you can probably bet that it's an Asian made import.

It is not on a website webiste for brand new saddles; she is running her own site and it is her daughters that she used to use on her horse.

For price comparison, here's a new Paragon with leathers, iron, girth, and bridle for $189.00.

Well, I know that this saddle has been used and well taken care of for the past two years by the same people that I am buying from. I am pretty happy with what I am getting. Thanks for the advice!
