Arrow Pessoa saddle, good deal?

Hi everyone,

I am thinking about buying a used pessoa saddle. It looks fabulous, only minor scratches, no mold, symmetrical pannels, and is super comfy to sit in. I am in love with this saddle.

My only concern is when I look under the saddle, there are two lines in the gullet area around the same proximity of the stirrup bars. I believe the lines are from the spring tree and I am wondering if it is something to be concerned about? When I place the saddle on the horse's back I can see light through from the other end. I haven't been able to ride a horse with it yet (I sat with it on the saddle stand) and my instructor is going to look at it tomorrow. I have until Sat. To decide if I want to keep the saddle. What is your opinion? If you could buy this saddle that was perfect, would it be a turn off to see those two lines?

And this is a pessoa, so I am not sure because most equestrians I know recommend pessoa and this is a top brand, I know they make their saddles with great quality. The saddle also has no marks on it (ex: horse flipping over) so I don't think the tree is broken or anything. I am going to have my instructor check it out, but any advice/comments/etc is welcome.

I rode the pessoa's for quite a while... a few different styles. All of which seemed to pitch my seat forward. However, if the price point is reasonable, and you're not going to be jumping the BIG stuff in it, then it's a pretty nice saddle.

pessoa, saddle, spring tree
