Pessoa Training System versus others

I am interested in getting my weak-backed thoroughbred a training system but I don't know enough about them to tell which one is better.

Dover Saddlery | Pessoa Training System .

Dover Saddlery | Balance Complete Training System .

Does anyone use these or have a prefeerence or heard anything about them?

Iv never used it but heard great things about it really gets them using themselves without resticting movement

I really dislike the concept of the Pessoa system. Every time the hind legs come back, the pulley system yanks on the horse's mouth, see-sawing the bit back and forth. The fact that the second one advertises a 'head set' scares me; head set is achieved only through a horse working rounded and from behind, not through controlling the head. Save your money- these things are bloody expensive- and learn to long-line your horse; you'll get better results.

I agree with charis completely. I don't like them attached to a bit at all. Perhaps on a lunge cavesson it would be OK.

I use a basic neck stretcher and it works wonders...its only like 20-30 bucks as opposed to 100!
