Picking out a USED saddle?

Just wandering how people on here would go about buying a used saddle. Unfortunatly at the rescue they don't have the money to buy all the horses brand new fitted saddles. Most people are pretty angry about having to give up their abused, neglected, starved, tempermental horses in the first place, so they aren't likely to give us their tack also. I've been trying to find a good used saddle (read cheap saddle) for Spirit. Weve been trying out different saddles at the rescue and have a few that we like, but I'm not sure what would be best for her. I really like the Australlian saddle we used today and wouldn't mind finding her one of those. Any advice/info on getting a used saddle would be helpful! Thanks!
