Corporal- that's very interesting :) never heard of that before. He's already used to wearing wraps though, so I wouldn't worry about it :)

the premise to help cold tendons warm for easy stretch with out injury the wraps can actually cause bowing of the tendon if put on incorrectly. Polo's should always be put on tendon in as you wrap..that is if I remember correctly..we used them all the time at 1 point but now I have multiple sets collecting dust in the tack room...and yep we were trainer spoon fed at that time..lol

Haha, I guess I'm one of those people who "swear" by the combination bandages. Although I use regular polo wraps when I'm actually playing polo, I love that they give my horse pretty good leg support and protection, and because they're not entirely elastic you don't have to worry about "over tightening" the wraps.
I use these "Nest Bandages" from horze, and they've proven to be pretty durable (more so than the plain cotton ones I use for polo, which frequently get rips and holes after frequent use). Good luck!~
