Proffesional's Choice Sports Medicine Boots II

What do you guys think about these boots for barrel racing and the like? I'm new to figuring out all of this stuff, so any advice is appreciated. :)

Those aren't that great..If you are wanting to get boots for your horse I would go ahead and spend the extra money to have the really nice boots..I love the Professional's Choice VenTech Elites.. I have two sets (set being all four) of the regular Elites and one set of the VenTech Elites, and I'm ordering a new set for Lark...IMO, they are the best..Everyone has their opinion and will tell you different things about all of the different brands of boots but when it boils down to it, boots aren't exactly that much protection..they just add the extra support and are just an added precaution to keep their legs from being harmed...whether that be from hitting and scraping their legs to pulling a muscle or anything else possible..Polo wraps are often used by barrel racers but it's proven that provide almost no support and aren't good to use, they basically just protect from scrapes and scruffs..they belong in the barn used for light work or bandadges..not on barrel horses running all out and performing..My opinion, spend the extra money and get the VenTech Elites, they are worth it times 10, come in many colors, and last forever...

I haven't tried those mls, I'd hate to buy a pair and not like them so I'm waiting to get my hands on a pair before just buying off of the internet..I'm a touchy feely person about anything I want to put on my horse...Bubba13 likes them though, to my knowledge she's the only person I know who has used them..So I would love to hear more..I keep checking Horsetown to see if they have any in stock.

they are good too,but you always have that 4th velcro strap at the bottom that gets tangled on everything.

Thank you, I'm going to look into the VenTech Elites. Before I got my own horse, I never realized how many brands and different types there were.

You're welcome..I love mine. My oldest set, that I still use, are like 7 years old. They aren't as pink as when I first bought them but they still wear great.

I like the Professionals Choice boots Drum reccomended, but I am in LOVE with the Classic Equine Legacy boots. They fit my horses they're really hard to screw up, they look great and are doing an excellent job keeping my horses safe. I use the with the Classic Equine DSL Bell Boots.

Those Iconoclast boots I'm also in love with....I can't afford them but just recently had a chance to ride a training horse in them. They were great, I really love how they look and how they fit, and I think they're the best support boots out there right now.

I'm kinda boot happy right now. Bailey gets Legacy boots and the DSL bell boots for barrels, and so does Selena for reining. (Selena won't sit and slide in any other boots even the professionals choice ones....Which is wierd for me) But I still use the SMBs and professionals choice products on my horses too. It just depends on what we're doing, show vs. practice, etc.

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

I am actually in an e-mail conversation with the main guy at the company - for that very purpose. There are no dealers in our state.

He is rather anti Pro Choice. I've never had issues with my SMB's so I am disheartened to have a new company running down an established product. I can understand making comparisons but not the negativity. Rather unprofessional.
