At the last show I did, they gave away tack prizes for 1st-3rd placings.
I came back with five firsts- and five nylon sheets.
They're made by Weaver, and very sturdy.
I'm not one to have a ton of blankets around, mainly because it doesn't get very cold here, so I never have to really layer or anything like that.
I just have a medium weight turnout, show scrim, and a cooler. And now five nylon sheets. Sad thing is, they don't really fit any of my other horses. They're even a tad small for my gelding... So it's not like they're all getting use. Basically, just taking up space now.
I assume it could be used for things like layering under the turnouts, or just as a light sheet? They're great wind breakers. I've loved it for trailering, especially during windy days. I can't see using it much in the summer, as my gelding is always warm under it. Just at night maybe before shows. Again-great wind breaker. Nothing really breathes much through there.
So what exactly are they do to, and what do you use them for?
