Question about what is appropriate in the showring for English hat classes?

I recently purchased a beautiful black english bridle for my husband's horse. He rides with a black wintec so it matches up great. He said maybe, just maybe, one day he will show his horse in a novice class (everyone who knows him are holding their breath). My question is, this bridle has a flash noseband which I removed the flash strap part but the little tab is still there. Also the reins have those leather martingale stoppers or keepers attached, maybe I should remove those as well, I would have to cut them off. For an equitation or pleasure class, is this ok? I could phone a friend of mine who is a judge, but when I get her on the phone, I can kiss an hour good bye with all the chit chat! Thank you in advance for your help.

Generally that would be fine. But check the rule book for whatever association the show is held under just in case there's something funky.
