Are you looking at the Minneapolis craigslist? I've found quite a bit of nice saddles there lately. I shouldn't be shopping but I can't help myself, we have more saddle racks that need to be filled hehe.

There are a few sale barns around here too that english saddles sell for $10-25 no joke. Western people have no idea what they are selling. And since you can look them over beforehand you know the brand and everything.

Do you have any auctions in your area? We have one not far from us several times a year where you can pick up good tack really cheaply - and you get to see before you buy too

Are you willing to buy from somewhere else and pay shipping? If so, try allcraigs. It gives you the listings for everywhere in the US.

You said 'had'. If they were so great, why don't you still have them?

Good question! I worded that funky! I outgrew them, I have one when I was 11, then out grew it and then when I was 13 out grew that one! I just haven't bought another one yet since I was given one by another by a family friend!

I'm looking at the minneapolis craigslist, but in the washington county/WI section. I should probably try looking at stuff IN the cities. I just moved here so I'm not familiar with auctions, etc.

Ahh the next sale should be october 9th down in Cannon Falls. There's more around but that's the one I go to.

And yes look at the entire Minneapolis craigslist. Washington county is very tall but very skinny haha. I'm in Stillwater and if I drive just 5 miles I'm already out of washington county. I usually have to look at google maps while I'm shopping as I've only lived here for a year and half.

Hehe yeap I'm a just a few minutes from Stillwater Vet, though I don't use them but it is good to know there is an equine hospital so close in case anything ever happens.

What size saddle are you looking for? I'm on the hunt for saddles that are way cheaper than your budget but I still like to look for them. I just can't justify the cost when I already have two saddles for one horse but I still shop for them anyway.
