Really Cheap Leather or Synthetic Leather?

It smells like leather, but it looks so strange! What do you think?

Cheap leather, because the dye is on top of the leather instead of soaked into the leather. Has a painted cardboard look. I could be wrong though.

Yea, it's odd! Looks like a fibrous material in the worn spots, yet looks like plastic on all of the non warn spots.

Looks like the cheap urine tanned stuff.
