Really Old Saddle - Information?

A friend and her significant other got this from a barn the other day for decoration for 3 bucks, and she posted on Facebook wondering what kind of saddle it was. I immediately thought of you guys, I know there are several old saddle experts on here, so if anyone can tell me more about this saddle so I can let my friend know, that would be great!
All she knows is that it's from Kentucky and that it is stuffed with horse hair and not wool flocking, apparently.

I'm not a saddle expert, but it looks like it migght be an endurance saddle. Search it on google and compare. (:
