Ribbon Browband Tutorials?

I know, I've done the research, and there's several of these threads out there.. but honestly, they suck. This is a horse community, come on! I was taught the shark's tooth pattern years ago on a rainy day at a stud I was working at, we thought it was more fun than cleaning tack, so we made pretty browbands.

There is one thread here that had a video, but the video was removed, and the thread only had the shark's tooth and the checkerboard anyway. The diamond pattern is sooo easy, and I can do it on a headband neatly. but I find that I just can't get it started on a browband nicely.

I'm compiling some tutorials for different things, and I thought that ribbon browbands would be a good one to do, and a LOT of people would use them(Including me for sure!). There are already some great resources out there on the two I've mentioned, and I will eventually post those in this thread, and maybe even a couple of rosette ones.

Once I get a few other tutes (hint, hint, come on DIY browband makers, share for those who can't afford shipping halfway across the world no matter how cheap you are) I'll post my "easy" version here and help out some prospective DIY'ers!

I personally haven't made browbands for YEARS. The last time I did one was for my little welsh x pony club mare when I was about 15. I became interested just lately when I thought about getting two done for my sister in law and I for when we do pair hacks... we usually have hacks and PC events in the same day and have to wear our uniform under our jacket, so our colours (which are kind of boring looking and no one has thought to make a browband of them) would be on our browbands too and make us stand out that little bit more. I looked into getting them custom done, but they really aren't colours I want to fork out that much money for! I wouldn't mind if they were going to be nice and pretty and I'd want to use the browband for everything and treasure it forever, but it just won't be that nice! I've got the materials, I just need the know how. My sister in law and I can't decide between the sharks tooth with stripe or the diamond pattern, so help with those would be WONDERFUL.

Lets rally together and be a community, helping each other out, even if you'd rather PM me the instructions... I'll work on a tute and repost here. Otherwise, just post away!
