Rich VA, Equine Extravagana, and still no saddle.

Well on the good side, I was able to eliminate a few more brands.
I liked the Crest ridge leather/cordura but they are sized really screwed up, the so called 17 felt like a 15" saddle.
I mainly went to look at Specialized saddles, The vendor had a used 17". Ok saddle but it was a bit more used than I wanted and the new ones are out of my price range. Just wasnt mega impressed with them for the price.
I had a Circle Y gaited endurance, seat was so narrow it was painful, felt like riding on a fence rail, I returned it,
I don't like the rigging on the Down under Longreach, but so far that one is leading the pack.
Still wanna check out a Tucker endurance, they are popular with casual trail riders, but have heard they are narrow and can pinch and may not be ideal for endurance. Oh well it's late and I'm rambling.

Joe, look at the Allegany Mountain Trail Saddles. Staci is super nice to work with. I love my saddle and best of all, it really fits Biscuit. This is the second one that I have had. The other I got when Biscuit was a rolly polly and when I started the endurance training and he got really fit - it no longer fit him. I got another set of the fit forms and got another saddle made. I think it was around $1100 or so with the Supracore seat (most luxurious).

I like the saddle - it is comfortable, it is their endurance model and it is light. The leather is soft and supple.

Check 'em out. This is a picture when we were at the Bombproof clinic. Chad warmup.jpg

Dont look like those would fit me. Lot of rise and look to be kinda narrow twist. Would have to sit in one to see. Sorta why I was excited about the expo, not as many saddles as I was hoping for.

Have you tried a Big Horn leather/cordura? I bo't a used National Bridle gaited after I'd made numerous enquiries regarding fit to Nat. Bridle. Turned out their wide is no wider than a regular western saddle. My boy is built like a barrel and the front of the saddle wouldn't even set down on him.
