Riding without boots - english stirrup leathers

Okay, so. I typically ride bareback. As in, 99.9% of the time; my saddle has actually been all the way down in Kentucky (I'm up in Erie, PA) since about a year and a half ago, maybe more.. I should be getting it back within two weeks though
However, right now, I am entering my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and will be unable to ride for most of the summer. Therefore, I'm going to be letting a whole lot of friends ride (under my supervision of course!) mainly to keep him used to having riders on his back and working.

Here is the predicament: My saddle is an english jumping saddle; most of my friends don't have tall boots or anything to protect their legs and I no longer own half chaps to lend out to anyone.

So I was wondering, does anyone know of a way to maybe wrap the leathers so they won't pinch, or have a different solution?
I don't show or really jump in a saddle anymore, so this would be used mainly for trail riding and pleasure rides. I would absolutely love to not have to get rid of my saddle - I personally find english more comfortable than western and my seat is more secure in english saddles, not to mention I'm quite attached to this saddle.. I've had it longer than my horse! I would also love to be able to use my english saddle without hot leather boots on and enjoy a ride without my legs bleeding at the end. :P

Looking forward to your suggestions!

What I did was buy sheepskin seatbelt covers. They aren't long enough so I used 2for each leather and they attach with Velcro. Saved my legs from being pinched while riding with shorts on

This may work because I'm super short, but I have ridden english with cowboy boots on. Jeans over top of boot tops so as to not draw too much attention since one pair of my cowboy boots are bright red!

I want to get these stirrup leather covers, but I might end up making some just to save some money.

I rode in paddock boots in A/P and then CC saddle for several years and never had issues with pinching. I'd say give it a try first with your friends before putting money into wrappers.

When I was younger and rode english, my calves got pinched ALL the time if I didn't wear tall boots. Now I'm like you and ride mostly bareback, but when I do ride english, I wear cowboy boots or paddocks and jeans and don't have any problem.

I rode in shorts and sport shoes on trails and never had issue with pinching. May be it depends a lot on leathers (mine are nice quality ones).

I have pretty nice quality leathers but even riding in jeans and paddock boots, my calves would be near bleeding by the end of a lesson o__o

I vaguely recall, during one of the lessons I took aeons ago, seeing the instructor using a wrap that was kind of like a polo wrap, but thinner? Normally used with quilted bandages? To wrap the legs of the student who had forgotten boots/half chaps.

Agreed.. I wear paddock boots without half chaps and have never ever had pinching. Once I wore shorts and no pinching.. so I don't know what I'm doing to have no pinches from the leathers but it's working

If they experience pinching, an extra thick pair of socks on the outside might help? Or you could get schooling half chaps (used) for cheap.
