Rivets vs Handsewing on Browbands

When I need leather stuck together temporarily I use a water soluble glue that has temporary sticking power. It's great with leather and it can hold it say for stitching but will let go and allow the leather to be flexible.

I have tried double stick tape also, to help tack down the piecework as I work, and hold it in place as I stitch. This seems to work well
