roughing up a slick seat?
A few years ago, a guy gave me a buena vista plantation saddle, at one time I had got pretty comfortable at riding in it on my paso, and was spending quite a bit of time in it. Somewhere along the line, I stopped riding in it, and went back to a trooper saddle while starting a few youngsters. I recently went out and tossed the buena vist on my RMH gelding (who was acting a bit of a fool) and for the life of me I could not comfortably stick the seat like I would have prefered.
Does any one have any suggestions for either roughing up the seat or making it more grippy? I have seen a lady use skateboard tape on a barrel saddle once, but would prefer not to go that route.
