I have a pony and I don't take lessons I ride her around and work with her at home. Do you think it is worth getting a saddle? I have one, but it doesn't fit her great. So I am riding bareback. Bottom line Should I get a saddle? Thanks
I think its a personal preferance, if there is stuff u want to do under saddle then get one, otherwise if you are more comfortable bareback, stick with bareback
But it is better to ride bareback then in a poorly fitting saddle I think.
I don't know your age or how long you have been riding etc, but I remember our first pony. We rode bareback for at least a year, maybe 2 before we got a saddle. If you are just riding and enjoying your pony and don't really need one then don't worry about it. Keep your eyes open and maybe someone will come along who needs a different fit and you can swap or something. You will definitely benefit from riding bareback with balance and developing a good seat.. IF not you will fall off a lot. lol
its always nice to have a good one laying around i have one for sale for 150 i bought it for my little brother and her used it once and never used it sence so i figure someone could use it
