Saddle blanket with iPhone pocket

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has seen these for sale? I'd love to find a saddle blanket with a pouch that I can put my phone in so it doesn't need to sit in my pocket. I don't want something with a big pocket, just something big enough for my phone that looks nice and neat (No big bulging pocket).

Do people here generally ride with their mobile phones with them?

Thoughts would be appreciated. Would anyone else find this useful?

Cheers,
Chuck.

I ride with mine in my pocket in case I fall off and either can't get up to reach my horse or get separated from my horse and can't dial 911 or call for help.

I have never seen a saddle pad with a phone pocket but I have seen saddles with them, or you could use a saddle bag.

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

Thanks for the reply,

I just thought it would be super useful to have it on hand yet out of the way. RE: The saddle bag, I don't really want to have to carry anything extra around!

With my luck it would go flying out of the pocket!

I keep my phone on me because I KNOW that if something should happen my lil turd of a gelding isn't going to stick around. Hightail it to the barn screaming like a little girl? Yes.....

I have a holder that straps on to either my arm or the top of my tall boot. I prefer to strap it to my boot as I can easily grab/answer it. I ride while my kiddos are in school and as both have seizure disorders and hubby is unreachable most of the time due to his rural truck route, I have to be available.

The boot option sounds like an interesting one! Thanks for the input :)

I have a case that clips to my belt. ST has never been able to get me off in all her attempts, so I'm notnreally worried about me coming off her her taking off towards home..BUT, I just saw it happen with Super (who I never would've thought), so I'd much rathwr have it on me if I have to call Heather and hope one of the neighbours are home to catch her.
